First coronavirus causes in the country are minimal, but, currently, the cases are high, and the Government of Abia State has warned residents of the second wave of coronavirus.

According to him, “We urge all Abians to make themselves available for the covid-19 test as Government has set up Sample Collection Centres at the various Local Government Areas including Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH), Aba and Molecular Testing Laboratory at Amachara.
They are adding that all sample collections and tests are free of charge. Furthermore, to curb the pandemic’s effect in the State, the next thing is that all Abians are required to compulsorily wear their face mask at directed to paste on all their entrance, which means “No Face Mask, No Entry” notice/inscription.
It is imperative, and failure to comply will attract sanctions. “Government directs all Local Government Chairmen, Traditional Institutions, Leadership of various Market Unions and Religious bodies, including the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), etc.
Advocacy/Sensitization Exercise on Covid-19 and religious worship must be in line with laid down Covid-19 protocols.
All the state workforce will operate with Grade Level 12 and above, and also with those on essential services will continue to work Mondays through Fridays.
The Isolation centers and all the Medical Protocol teams are in place. However, the State Covid-19 Enforcement Team will begin routine visits to public sites to make sure compliance is in place.
