Simona Halep, the world No 2 and two time Grand Slam singles champion who lost to champion Iga Swiatek at French Open earlier this month, has tested positive for coronavirus.
She revealed that she is self-isolating and “recovering well from syptoms”, the WTA tour season has now finished.
Simona Halep, who is 29-year-old Romanian explained on Saturday that she is “recovering well from mild symptoms.”
She said; “Hi everyone, I wanted to let you know that I tested positive for Covid-19,” Halep said in a Twitter post.
“I am self-isolating at home and am recovering well from mild symptoms. I feel good… we will get through this together.”
