Tottenham had opened talks with Sporting Libon over a deal for Fernades at the end of last summer’s transfer but the transfer was cut off before they eventually signed Lo Celso on a season long loan from Real Betis.
Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho says he would not swap Giovani Lo Celso for Bruno Fernandes after Spurs missed out on the Portuguese midfielder last summer when they signed Lo Celso.
Celso then made his move permanent under Mourinho in a £27m deal in January when Fernades also go for Manchester offer worth £68m.
Fernades has been a revelation at United since his arrival and been directly involved in eight goals in his eight Premier League appearance, while Lo Celso is yet to register a goal or assst in his 21 leagues game for Tottehnam.
According to report, a question was throw to Mourinho whether he regrets missing out on Fernades last summer, Mourinho told Sky Sports News, “I don’t know anything about that, but if that is true, and if Giovani Lo Celso was the player that came to Spurs [instead of Bruno Fernandes], then I would say I wouldn’t change Giovani Lo Celso for any player.
Mourinho is not opening up in that aspects cause is every dream Coach to have a great player like Fernades which is doing performing well for Manchester United.
Lo Celso has no record yet but let’s hope and see the miracle the Lo Celso might perform.
