Measures To Stop Covid-19 Spread Turned To Violent In Italy

After the weekend demonstrations that led to violent in Italy, about thousands of Italian protesters angry over new restrictions announced to control the spread of coronavirus.

There was a clashed between the Police and the angry protesters in cities on Monday as European government toughened their responses to the contagion.

So many things were vandalised in Milan and bins set on fire, while anti-riot police fired teargas at groups of young people throwing glass bottles and other projectiles.

Report claims that this similar scenes happened in neighboring Turin and in southern Naples.

Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte ordered restaurants and bars to shut from 6:00pm, while theatres, cinemas and gyms were ordered closed for a month – much to the annoyance of business owners, opposition politicians and even some scientists.

This brought the unrest scenes after the ordered from the Prime Minister.
