The Nigerian former president, Goodluck Jonathan issued fresh warning to Niger Delta youths on Tuesday over violence.
This was revealed when the executive members of Movement for Survival of Izon Ethnic Nationality in the Niger Delta (MOSIEND) paid him a visit in Yenagoa.
He added that, he want them to embrace peace and support economy of the nation through production of oil and gas, for the development of the region and the country at large. NAN report.
Jonathan said youths remain the focus of most government development policies, and any attempt to cause violence and destroy things would only result against their interests.
However, the future of the country below to the youths who are the Centre of most developmental endeavours and policies of government.
Therefore, the youths should resist and shun violence in the country…and embrace peace for the development of Nigeria.
Jonathan said, Major thing now is peace in Niger Delta and is very essential as any disturbance in the Niger Delta may affects the country because the region supports the economy of the nation.
Full support is what the youths needed now not by causing violence…
