Nigeria Senate To Get Harmonised 2021 Budget On December 3

A reports was disclosed by Jibrin Barau, the Chairman Senate Committee on Appropriation, that the Nigeria Senate to get harmonised 2021 budget from its committee on December 3.

Budget reports on agencies of government have been submitted by some chairman of committee, and were quite satisfactory.

Barau said that the time table of December 3rd would be adhered to enable Senate Committee of the whole begin debate on time, it was revealed in Abuja late Wednesday.

He insisted that they look towards the submission of the 2021 budget on December 3.

He added that cases of omission of some agencies of government who are not fully prepared would be solved before the expected date, and then some agencies which were asked to put their budgets in proper ways also working seriously with Senate timing.

“The budget proposal is a very wide process, talking about estimates of expenditures that are going to be undertaken by the Federal Government.

We are here incase if you have several expenditures and there is room for omission.

“We told our own committees to go and scrutinize the budgets of ministries and report back to us.

Barau said the Senate will use their professional accountants and economist to correct any issue or error if needed.
