Nigerian Govt: Marine Bridge To Be Reopened On Monday, 20th Oct

The Eko Bridge and Marine Beach Bridge had shut down in March and May due to it unsafe for public use and declared for repairs.

Federal Government has now approved the reopening of the Eko Bridge and Marine Beach Bridge in Lagos State.

Mr Olukayode Popoola, the Federal Controller of Works in Lagos had announced that the ongoing emergency rehabilitation of the Eko Bridge linking Alaka is almost completed and will be ready for use in October.

However, Babatunde Fashola, SAN, Minister of Works and Housing declared in a statement by the Ministry’s Director of Press and Publicity, Boade Akinola, on Saturday, said that both bridges will be reopened to traffic on Monday, October 19, 2020.
