According to the latest figures show, Dorset tested over 70 new fresh cases in the last 24 hours, as data released by the Government show 71 cases.
The confirmation was around 4pm on Sunday, December 6. 34 people tested positive in the Dorset Council area.
While the total number cases since the pandemic started is 3,348 cases.
The deadly virus rate stands at 41.2 per 100,000 people in the seven days leading up to December 1.
In BCP Council area, 37 people tested positive, taking the area’s total since the start of the pandemic to 7,422.
Leading to December 1, the infection rate is 73.6 per 100,000 of the population.
And the latest figure shows an increase of 17 on the cases reported on Sunday, December 5, after 54 cases were recorded in Dorset
