Update: Nigeria Records 796 Cases of Covid-19 Infections

NCDC gives update on new coronavirus

New update as NCDC gives report on the coronavirus cases revealing that Federal Capital Territory has the highest number figures, making the cases 796 infections in the country.

NCDC post the new records via it’s Twitter page and said the 796 were recorded in 15 states and Federal Capital Territory.

All the total confirmed cases in Nigeria is 72,140 with 1,190 deaths so far.

According to the health Agency, FCT led with 258 cases of the virus, while Lagos had 248, and Kaduna recorded 117 cases.

Other states include; Katsina (52), Ogun (27), Kwara (23), Gombe (22), Adamawa (17), Plateau (15), Kano (6), Rivers (2), Ondo (2), Ekiti (2), Nasarawa (2), Sokoto (2) and Taraba (1).

No additional covid-19 deaths were recorded, while 238 persons have recovered and discharge from isolation centers across the country as the total number of recoveries is 65,712.

The government hereby urge all Nigerians to follow the important public health measures.
