According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), update was revealed on covid-19 vaccine and the mass production is still far.
Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu, the Director-General of NCDC, said this during the weekly briefing of the task force on coronavirus in Abuja on Monday.
Nothing to do than we must continue to observe non-pharmaceutical measures against COVID-19, since the mass production of vaccine is still far.
Although there had been some encouraging news about COVID-19 vaccines, mass production of the vaccines might still take time, Ihekweazu said.
And another issue is that, we’re very far from having one with a licence; so, therefore we have to tighten up our belts and get through this month of December.
“Everyone should be vigilant, disciplined and abide by the general protocols that we have advised throughout the year.
“This is the best way that we can keep our loved ones safe and transit safely into 2021.
The overall cases in the country country is 67,557 infection and we have to take precaution to avoid the second wave of the coronavirus.
